Monday 16 September 2019: Jonathan Richman special

Office chart is a weekly rundown of what I’ve been listening to – both at and away from my desk.

I’ve been familiar with The Modern Lovers for a whule now, but somehow the solo output of Jonathan Richman, the band’s founder, evaded me until a few weeks ago. I love him. My partner loves him. My cat, I’m pretty sure, loves him, or at least loves how we’ve childishly incorporated his name into the choruses of most of the songs on this list. We are a Jonathan Richman household now.
